How does the Stella Dusk Leather Jacket fit, and which size should I choose?
The Stella Dusk Leather Jacket has a women-specific Comfort Sport fit, with multi-panel 3D construction, leather accordion panels from the armpit to the shoulder, and abrasion-resistant stretch inserts for riding mobility. Its outer chassis uses soft 1.1–1.3 mm bovine leather.
The Black White variant is listed in sizes 38–52, in two-size increments. Compare your measurements with the Alpinestars size guide and check the fit in your riding position with your intended layers. Shoulder and elbow armor should stay correctly positioned without restricting movement.
What CE rating and armor does the Stella Dusk Leather Jacket have?
The Stella Dusk is CE-certified as a Category II motorcycle riding garment to EN 17092, Class AA. It includes Nucleon Flex Plus Level 1 shoulder armor, Nucleon PLASMA Level 1 elbow armor and external DFS shoulder protection. Class AA is the garment classification, distinct from the impact armor’s Level 1 rating.
Chest and back inserts are sold separately. The jacket accommodates compatible CE Level 2 Nucleon PLASMA chest and back inserts, as well as Nucleon Flex chest and CELL back inserts.
Which Tech-Air® airbag systems are compatible with the Stella Dusk Leather Jacket?
The Stella Dusk Leather Jacket is Tech-Air® Ready and is specifically listed as compatible with the Tech-Air® 5 Plasma System, Tech-Air® 5 System and Women Stella Tech-Air® 3 V2 System. Tech-Air® Ready indicates compatibility, not that an airbag system is included.
Follow the selected system’s fitting and compatibility instructions when choosing your jacket size, including its required deployment clearance.
Is the Stella Dusk Leather Jacket waterproof?
The Stella Dusk Leather Jacket is not specified as a waterproof riding garment. Its waterproof internal compartment protects stored essentials, but this does not establish waterproof protection for the jacket as a whole.
The detachable liner provides thermal insulation rather than a stated waterproof barrier. For wet-weather riding, use suitable motorcycle rain gear over the jacket.
Does the Stella Dusk Leather Jacket have ventilation and a removable thermal liner?
Yes. The Stella Dusk has a detachable full thermal liner with 80 g body insulation and 60 g sleeve insulation for cooler road-riding conditions. Strategically placed opening vents help regulate rider temperature.
For warmer conditions, remove the thermal liner and open the vents to increase airflow. This adjustable insulation and ventilation lets you adapt the jacket to changing temperatures without changing its leather outer chassis.
