Full price gear ensures you receive the most advanced protection technology and performance features available from our 60+ years of racing-proven innovation.
Alpinestars gear meets and often exceeds the highest international safety standards relevant to each riding discipline. Motorcycle apparel and protection carry CE certification under European regulation (EU) 2016/425, with impact protectors tested to CE Level 1 or Level 2 standards. Many racing suits are FIM homologated for professional competition in MotoGP, World Superbike, and other championship series.
Auto racing suits comply with FIA 8856-2018 standards, while karting gear meets CIK-FIA homologation requirements. Our Tech-Air® electronic airbag systems represent the world's first fully electronic airbag technology with AI-powered crash detection, certified across multiple riding disciplines. MTB protection follows EN 1621 standards for impact protection. All safety ratings and certifications are clearly indicated in individual product specifications to help you select the appropriate protection level for your riding needs.
While some Alpinestars products are discipline-specific for optimal performance and safety, certain items offer versatility across riding styles. Adventure gear is specifically engineered for mixed-terrain use, combining road and off-road capabilities. Urban collections bridge street riding and casual wear. Tech-Air® systems are available in versions compatible with road, track, off-road, and adventure riding.
However, for maximum protection and performance, we recommend using gear designed for your primary riding discipline. MX gear is optimized for motocross with specific ventilation and flexibility; road racing suits provide aerodynamics and abrasion resistance for high-speed sport riding; and auto racing equipment meets different safety standards than motorcycle gear. Each collection is engineered with discipline-specific materials, armor placement, and features validated through championship racing in that particular motorsport.
Proper care extends the life and performance of your Alpinestars gear while maintaining its protective properties. For textile jackets and pants, machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle, avoiding bleach and fabric softeners that can degrade technical fabrics and waterproof membranes. Remove CE armor before washing and allow garments to air dry—never tumble dry, as heat can damage protective materials.
Leather products should be cleaned with specialized leather cleaners and conditioned regularly to maintain suppleness and abrasion resistance. Tech-Air® systems require specific care outlined in their user manuals, with electronic components that must never be submerged in water. Helmets should be cleaned with mild soap and water, avoiding harsh chemicals that can compromise shell integrity. Store all gear in cool, dry locations away from direct sunlight. Inspect armor, stitching, and closures regularly, replacing any damaged protective components immediately to ensure continued safety performance.
